This curriculum based resource promotes the SunSmart message and provides teachers with information and a range of classroom and take-home activities on skin cancer prevention and sun protection.

These materials were developed in Western Australia by Curtin University’s Centre for Health Promotion Research and the Department of Public Health at The University of Western Australia, in association with the Cancer Council WA and the Education Department of WA. Due to the overwhelming success of the Kidskin resources in Western Australia they have now been revised by the Cancer Council Australia’s National Schools Working Group, making them available to teachers and schools throughout the country.

The SunSmart Global UV app provides reliable at-a-glance real-time and forecast UV levels for locations across Australia and the world from reputable and trusted agencies and translates this data into clear, evidence-based health advice from Cancer Council Victoria to recommend sun protection for your location.

It uses forecast information from the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) and live UV data from the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA) to provide sun protection times across Australia and the world.

Download the app form the Apple or Google Play Appstore.
