Volunteering

People from all walks of life volunteer with Cancer Council ACT, and we are incredibly grateful to all the valued volunteers from across our region.  We are also indebted to our highly committed Board Members who generously volunteer their time and expertise. 

There are many reasons and motivations behind why people volunteer to support Cancer Council ACT.  Some volunteer as a way to give back to the community, to meet and engage with new networks or because they want to do something to combat cancer. Students and young people often volunteer to gain valuable work experience and skills, and others use their developed talents and knowledge for good. 

Several times a year, Cancer Council ACT hosts events that require volunteers.  If you'd like to be added to our volunteer list, please click on the link below and we will be in contact with upcoming opportunities. 

Another way of supporting us is by hosting your own fundraiser. Whether it’s a Biggest Morning Tea, a "yellow" event for Daffodil Day, or something completely different, getting your friends or workmates together can be a fun way to raise funds that will help us alleviate the impact of cancer in our local community.
