Canberra Relay For Life 2026: A Wild, Wild West Weekend helping us get one step closer to ending cancer.

Cancer Council ACT extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part in our 2026 Relay For Life. Whether you donated, fundraised, volunteered, walked the track, or supported loved ones who did, your contribution made this year’s event truly special. Your generosity and commitment are what make events like Relay For Life possible.

This year, more than 1,000 relayers came together at the AIS Track and Field Centre, with an additional 300 Relay Your Way participants from St Mary Mackillop College. Across the weekend, the track was filled with energy and connection, reflecting the strength of our Canberran community.

Our Wild, Wild West theme brought an extra level of character this year and we are so grateful to so many relayers for embracing the spirit with creative campsites, wide-brimmed hats and many flannel shirts!

Relay For Life is more than just an event, it is a time to come together to celebrate, remember and fight back against cancer. Seeing our community unite is a powerful reminder that no one has to face cancer alone.

And whilst the event might be over for another year, the impact will continue to change lives. Cancer Council ACT's work is only possible thanks to the support of our local community and, together, our community raised an incredible $370,000 to support our information and support services, prevention programs, and investment in life-saving local cancer research. Your support makes real and lasting difference in reducing the impact of cancer across the ACT.

We can’t wait to see you back on track in 2027.

Together, it’s all of us against cancer.
