Harp Yoga - Wellness Day Retreat
Join us for a special day of rest, relaxation, and a chance to withdraw from daily life, with our Harp Yoga - Wellness Day Retreat.
Facilitated by Alison Ware (Creative Arts Therapist and Certified Clinical Musician from HarpCare Therapeutic Music Services) and Jo Carroll (Yoga Instructor from 11:11 Health & Wellbeing), this day retreat offers participants a restorative and nurturing space to explore gentle activities that promote relaxation, creativity, and connection.
Available to those directly affected by cancer (from diagnosis, during treatment and after treatment) and their carers, this FREE retreat is part of Cancer Council ACT’s ENHANCE Wellbeing program, which aims to improve the overall health and wellbeing of participants.
Participants are invited to step away from the demands of daily life and take time to connect with themselves, others, and their personal experience of wellness. Activities will include gentle chair Harp Yoga, a wellness workshop, a creative art workshop, and Yin Harp Yoga.
Throughout the day, Cancer Council ACT's Supportive Care Team members will be present to provide practical and emotional support, and ensure a welcoming and safe environment where participants are encouraged to take part at their own pace, explore wellness, build connections, and enjoy these unique offerings.
The retreat also offers opportunities for shared reflection and conversation. Whether through group discussion, creative expression, or quiet moments together, many participants find comfort in connecting with others who have gone through similar experiences.
You must register before you attend the session. This is to ensure the safety and welfare of all participants, CCACT staff and session facilitators. If you are not registered, unfortunately staff will have to turn you away from the session. Please register to avoid disappointment.
