This new online national SunSmart educational resource has been designed for early childhood, primary and secondary school teachers, school health nurses and school students (Years 6 to 9). Canberra childhood services that have already been awarded SunSmart status will receive a complimentary set of 6 educational posters (valued at $29.95) upon completion of the online modules. ALL Canberra childcare staff who successfully complete the online modules will receive a Professional Development certificate from Cancer Council Australia. ‘Be SunSmart, Play SunSmart’

An early childhood resource booklet for teachers and carers working with children from birth to five+ years of age. This resource is filled with ideas for educational play experiences.

Early Childhood SunSmart Poster Set (6)

This set of educational posters consist of 6 A3 size colour gloss posters of young children and their carers being SunSmart. Each poster features sun protection information and ideas for teachers, carers and parents on the reverse side.
Availability: The set can be purchased from the Cancer Council for $29.95 (including GST, postage and handling). Services with SunSmart status can purchase a set for just $20 (including GST, postage and handling).
Be SunSmart today from sign

The "Be SunSmart today from" sign is an ideal way to remind children, staff and parents to your service when sun protection will be recommended today in Canberra. It can be downloaded, laminated and displayed in a location for all to see.

The new SunSmart Countdown song was developed by Cancer Council Victoria and is sung by Justine Clarke. Original music composed and arranged by J Albert and Son. Original lyrics and vocal arrangement by Jane Lindsay, courtesy of Origin Music Publishing, administered by J Albert and Son.
This recording can only be used to promote SunSmart, communicate SunSmart messages and educate the general public about SunSmart, sun protection and skin cancer issues. Canberra early childcare services have free access to this song and are encouraged to download the song, lyrics and activities to assist teachers and staff with the educational component of the SunSmart Program.
