Free SunSmart Apps and Web Widget
Cancer Council ACT is excited to share two online tools to help Canberrans better manage their sun protection behaviour.
The SunSmart Web Widget
This widget can be easily uploaded (for free) to all ACT primary schools and childhood services (with SunSmart status) websites. Canberra workplaces, secondary schools and community organisations can also upload to their websites. It not only acts as a general reminder to be SunSmart, but it also alerts users what time each day sun protection is required in Canberra. The widget also includes a daily weather forecast.
SunSmart App for Smart Phones
The new SunSmart app lets you know when you do and don't need to worry too much about sun protection in your chosen location. It lets you know when it's safe to leave your hat off to assist with your vitamin D needs. The app makes it easier than ever to be "SunSmart" all year round. The SunSmart app is now availabale (free download) for Android smartphones and IPhones.
