Quitline 13 7848 (13 QUIT)

The Quitline is a confidential telephone advice and information service. For the cost of a local call (except mobile phones), a trained advisor can help you to plan and develop strategies to quit smoking and stay stopped.
You can speak to an advisor as many times as you wish, or use the Quitline Call-back service. The Call-back service is a series of calls providing support during planning, setting your quit date and staying quit.
Your GP or other health professional, with your consent, can also refer you to the Quitline and a Quitline advisor will call you at a time convenient to you.

Quit Pack

The Quit Pack provides practical information to help you plan and quit smoking. It includes a ‘Quit Because you can’ booklet, (also available online here) a Products to Help you Quit leaflet, a pocket guide to quitting and other useful information.

The Quit Pack is free to individuals living in the ACT and immediate regional areas. To request a Quit Pack to be sent to you or to someone else, please contact Cancer Council ACT on (02) 6257 9999 or tobaccocontrol@actcancer.org

QuitCoach

The QuitCoach is a personalised, confidential and interactive quitting tool available online.
The QuitCoach asks questions and gives ideas and suggestions to suit the smokers' lifestyle, whilst responding to where they currently are with their smoking.

A useful tool for people wanting some extra support with quitting, without having to actually make direct contact with a professional or course leader.

MyQuit

MyQuit is a personalised online cessation tool for smokers providing support and information about quitting.  MyQuit provides the Quitting Smoker (QS) with a simple, personalised experience, which aims to increase positive cessation outcomes.  

Both the QuitCoach and MyQuit  are useful tools  for people wanting some extra support with quitting, without having to actually make direct contact with a professional or course leader.
