Fundraising and Events

The Cancer Council ACT relies heavily on the support of the community to help raise much needed funds for cancer research, education and prevention programs, and supportive care activities.  These funds are raised by a number of different means including bequests, donations and fundraising activities.

Volunteering

The Cancer Council ACT is always looking for volunteers to help with our fundraising events.

We are looking for volunteers in the following areas:

  1. Relay For Life: volunteer as a committee member and help run and organise the event or volunteer on the day helping with setup, administration or packup.
  2. Assist with administration duties at The Cancer Council ACT office for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
  3. Assist with administration duties at The Cancer Council ACT office for Daffodil Day.
  4. Help pack merchandise or volunteer to sell merchandise at shopping centres.
  5. Volunteer as a marshall for the Canada Fun Run for Cancer.
  6. Volunteer before Pink Ribbon Day  to help pack merchandise or volunteer to sell merchandise on the day.
  7. Assist with general administration duties at The Cancer Council ACT office.
