About us
The Cancer Council ACT aims to reduce the incidence and impact of cancer in the Canberra community through the provision of information, education, support, research and also the sale of high quality sun protection goods through its Shop at Fairbairn.
About the role
The successful applicant will be someone that brings a positive, mature attitude and is able to quickly prioritise using good judgement and initiative. The applicant will be competent, confident, consistent and calm in handling simultaneous tasks on a daily basis. They will have an unquestioning approach to delivering high level customer service and above all, the motivation and desire to achieve results. This is a position for someone who likes to work hard, is willing to undertake high and low level tasks and take on responsibility.
Excellent computer skills in a variety of applications is essential as is being sufficiently fit to regularly lift reasonable weights. The Store Manager will be responsible directly to the Manager of Direct Marketing.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Ability to lead the Shop to maximise sales through in store, phone and mail channels.
- Excellent customer service skills using appropriate strategies to build up a loyal customer base.
- Coordinate professional visual displays and promotion of products within the Shop.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels in accordance with trading requirements.
- Satisfactorily resolve any customer queries and requirements.
- Reception duties including but not limited to answering the phone, emails, mail, and ordering stationary.
