Welcome to Cancer Council ACT

Cancer Council ACT is a non government not-for-profit community organisation that aims to promote a healthier community by reducing the incidence and impact of cancer in the ACT region. The Council depends largely on the generosity of the ACT and surrounding community providing donations and supporting fundraising initiatives.

Visit us, and the Cancer Council shop at 5 Richmond Ave Fairbairn Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

May is Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea month and this year we are celebrating 20 years of Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea!  Thursday 23rd May is the official day but you can host an event anytime throughout May or June. It's simple, fun and best of all it’s for a great cause! All you need to do is set a date, brainstorm some morning tea ideas, invite your guests and raise money to help support the fight against cancer.

In 2012, over 620 Canberran’s registered to host a morning tea across the ACT to help ‘tip the balance’ in the fight against cancer, raising over $220,000 in the ACT alone. We’d like 2013 to be even more successful so why not join the 20th anniversary celebrations and help make it our biggest and best year yet. Register to host a morning tea by visiting www.biggestmorningtea.com.au, text ‘HOST’ to 0400 867 867 or call (02) 6257 9999.

2013 Canada Day Fun Run- Stromlo Forest Park- 10am start.

Canada and Australia have always had much in common, including a shared dedication to cancer research.  While advances are being made in both countries, it is vital that we continue to support cancer research. To that end, we are proud to invite you to join us for our annual Canada Day Fun Run (or walk) for cancer research, continuing the tradition started by the Canadian High Commission many years ago.

All funds raised at this family event go directly to Cancer Council ACT. Online registrations close at 1pm Friday 28 June 2013. Alternatively register on the day from 8am.

To register online or for more information please click on the logo above or here.  You can also download a map of Stromlo Forest Park.
